"The first baby of the year is always exciting, and even more so when it's a beautiful big
healthy dun filly! Scott and Tracy Flick of McComb, Ohio announce the arrival of the newest
Dynamic In Blue baby "Coco" (name pending "Dynamic Blue Chip") out of their fine show mare
Chiptease, an own daughter of Zips Chocolate Chip, on February 24. Mama was a maiden mare and
Scott and Tracy attended the foaling, which was nicely "routine"-- if any such miraculous
event can ever be described as "routine!" Despite a little confusion at first, the baby is
indeed a filly, not a colt, and she has the color everyone hopes for: gorgeous dun!
Congratulations, Tracy and Scott, and Mama Chiptease, too.
Blue strutted around the paddock yesterday, all puffed up, when Larry told him the news,
but his mares here paid him no attention at all! They know they do all the real work when it comes to babies!"
Latest pics of "Coco" out of Scott and Tracy Flick's super pleasure mare Chiptease
(a daughter of Zips Chocolate Chip). This fine filly is shown here at about 4 weeks.
She shows plenty of dun factor and could still turn grulla. Most certainly a beautiful dun of some shade!
A grulla filly out of Story Sis, own daughter of Story Man, foaled at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4.
Her "pending" name is Dark Blue Suzi Que, barn name Suzi. She's pictured during her first turnout
in the indoor arena at 5 days old. Lighting isn't so good, but the playtime was excellent!
This big boy foaled at 9 a.m. on Good Friday, April 10, 2009, mother and great-looking dun colt are doing fine!
This is their farm's first foal of 2009 and mama "Maime" didn't give them a whole lot of heads-up,
so I think Teri is still catching her breath yet today. This new Blue (pending barn name "Friday" for
obvious reasons!) is out of This Zip Sizzles, a sorrel daughter of WP champion Sizzlin Zipppo.
Blue's batting 1000 on color babies so far in 2009!
Congratulations to breeder is Teri Bedner, FourB Farm, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and her family!
Congratulations to Valerie and Ted Morgan of Thornville, Ohio on the arrival
of their new bit of Blue, a grulla colt out of their very nice sorrel mare
This Ladys A Leaguer. He's big, pretty, and grulla, with that gorgeous face
and eye and plenty of Dun Factor. Valerie purchased our donated breeding to
the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse SSA, so we can't wait to see him at that
Futurity this Fall! She and Ted know how to get one ready and into the show pen,
so he'll get the chance to show off his Blue way of going and his sweet
disposition, too. We're excited!
We're excited to announce the arrival on April 6, 2009, of an
outstanding grulla colt out of World Champion Pleasure producing mare,
Pleasure Time Promis. The breeder is Christi Schuckman of Burlington,
Wisconsin. He is big, pretty, and has that tricky birth color that
does not look like "grulla" to those who haven't seen it before,
but we're betting on it, because he is just exactly the color of Dark Blue Rerun,
Iron Dun Dynamic. Dynamic Deja Blue, and Dynamic In Pleasure, who all turned
that blondie baby body color with big eye rings and gray legs into Blue's
unique slate blue color by the time they shed their baby coats.
So far this season Blue is 100% color babies, again, and some of these
pretty mamas are sorrel and palomino, too. Congratulations, Christi and Shirley!
This filly might be the exception that proves the rule, we hope.
She was born the same grulla shade as her daddy Blue, has gotten a little
lighter over her first 3 weeks of life, and is loaded with Dun Factor.
Has anyone had a grulla that was grulla when she came out of the oven?
If so, let me know. She foaled April 4 out of Story Sis, who is an own
daughter of the legendary Story Man (Go Man Go), with AQHA Supreme
Champion Kid Myers close up on her dam's side.
Crossing her pedigree on the Dynamic Deluxe/Dynamic In The Dark/Dynamic In Blue
line has produced three promising pleasure show babies (two of color, 1 black)
so far, and thank goodness Sis is a great, easy-foaling mama, too, which
makes life a good deal easier!
Take a look at Christi Schuckman's 2009 colt, "Griffin," by Dynamic In Blue, out
of her World-Champion Producing mare, Pleasure Time Promis. This big golden
"Buttermilk" dun boy is going nicely on the longe line and is being prepared for
the Tom Powers, the ABRA World, and the ABRA Congress, among other futurity
events. Watch out for this pair, 'cause they're planning to get 'er "DUN" in
2010!
Dynamic Promise, aka "Griffin," 2009 dun colt by Dynamic In Blue, out
of Christi Schuckman's champion-producing mare Pleasure Time Promis. Griffin won
the Buckskin Congress Reserve Champion Halter Stallion as a Weanling, both the
Open show and the Futurity! Wow! He is now being prepared for yearling longe
line events this summer and is showing that soft sweepy way of going, topline,
and self-carriage of his daddy, too. Looks like a long and successful pleasure
career ahead for this gorgeous big boy
Take a look at Dynamic Dun Blue, aka "Ringo," 2009 grulla colt by
Dynamic In Blue, out of Valerie Morgan's sorrel mare This Ladys A Leaguer. Ringo
was just playing on the line and Valerie was trying out a new camera, but
doesn't he look stunning? Watch out for him this summer at the NSBA futurities
and other big Longe Line events! He's going to wow the judges!
